As my business heads into its sixth year this year, it felt like the perfect time to begin expanding the team.
Earlier this year, I opened applications for my sponsored rider search and was absolutely blown away by the number of incredible riders who applied. The standard was exceptionally high, and narrowing it down was no easy task.
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to send in an application. It was truly wonderful to read about you and your horses, and I’m so grateful that you took time out of your day to share your stories with me. Every single application was appreciated.
So, without further ado, please join me in welcoming Becky Parsonage to the team!
Becky is an incredibly talented freelance rider with a fantastic string of horses. Her team ranges from an unbroken four-year-old through to her impressive PSG horse, with some very exciting up-and-coming six-year-olds in between.
I first met and photographed Becky back in 2023 as part of my Super-Cob Series, where we photographed her now-PSG horse, Wacton Billy — a 15-year-old cob cross that Becky broke in and produced herself through the levels. Since then, Billy has gone on to compete successfully at PSG level and recently competed in the PSG class & placed 5th in the Advanced Medium class at the NAF Winter Championships at Addington Equestrian.
We had a fantastic morning together for our first photoshoot of the year. We began by photographing Becky’s current horses in my Black Background style, before capturing a few ridden images.
We finished the shoot by photographing Becky with the horse of a lifetime, Billy, which really was a lovely way to end the day. And Billy was a total superstar as usual.
We were incredibly lucky with the locations for this session too, with a beautiful bluebell woodland and vibrant rapeseed fields providing the perfect backdrop for some truly special photographs.
I’m so excited to have Becky as part of the team and can’t wait to continue documenting her journey with this wonderful group of horses. From young prospects just beginning their careers to established horses competing at the higher levels, there’s so much to look forward to over the coming months. I’m incredibly grateful to work with such talented riders and horses, and I’m very much looking forward to sharing more from Becky and her team throughout the year.
