Just 9 days ago, myself & my partner, Luke, headed out to Stoke-On-Trent for the annual Guild of Photographer's Awards Evening.
Having purchased the tickets to the event months in advanced, I was super excited to be heading over to my first ever Awards night. When I initially purchased the tickets, the finalists had not yet been announced, but I figured that even if I was not nominated for an award by the judges, it would still be a fantastic night out, meeting some seriously talented photographers, as well as good food & a fantastic excuse to get dressed up!
However, December 2024 rolled around, alongside the Finalist announcements, and to my amazement, I had 4 images nominated for the 'Equine Image of the Year' title; see below!
Since the Awards Evening,
I am thrilled to announce that I was awarded 'Runner-Up' in Equine image of the year, alongside 'International Top 10 Pet Photographer'!
The Top 10 Interlational Pet Photographer Award, was such a shock to recieve. I had absolutely no idea that there was even a possibility I could achieve that award. This particular title encompasses all pet phtoography, not just equine specific, so I was also up against all of the other super talented Pet photographers within the Guild, not just the lovely Equine crowd. I am super proud of both of these achiements.
All finalists also recieved their complimentary Finalists book, featuring all of the work that had been shortlisted for the Awards. The book is beautiful, and it is so incredible to see all of the amazing talent within the Guild, crammed into one very special book, seeing my own photographs amongst such talent is an honour.
Luke & I both had an utterly superb evening, making some really wonderful friends, hearing totally inspiring stories & projects & just generally having a lovely time.

Moving forwards to the rest of 2025, I am considering aiming to try and tackle The Guild's qualifications, and I may also continue to enter the Image of the Month competitions, too.
But more importantly, I can't wait to get straight back into my Equine Photography this year.
Producing beautiful portraits for horse owners across the Midlands is what I absolutely adore and live for. Getting to share & celebrate these amazing partnerships & stories is so very special to me, and the joy that it brings my clients it just wonderful.
